How to write the research question in Arabic
In the exam you read an unseen text on your subject, then write a response drawing on both that text and your own research — with no notes.
A fuller guide is on the way. The shape of a strong Section C answer:
- Engage the unseen text. You’re asked to use it — quote and respond to it, don’t write around it.
- Bring your own findings. Specific detail from your research on your chosen country is what separates a real answer from a general one.
- Cover the ground. Your subject has three aspects; a good answer shows you researched all of them.
- Argue in accurate Arabic. This is an Arabic exam — precise analysis in shaky Arabic loses marks that simpler, accurate writing keeps.
Section C is 40 marks — half of Paper 1 and 20% of the A-Level. It rewards a student who started the research early and read widely in Arabic.
